Richly knotted and burled Siberian elm marries with a deep emerald resin river in this luxe + earthy coffee table.
Burls are formed when trees undergo some form of stress., whether it be an injury, virus or fungus. But burls are beautiful knots in the wood that are highly sought after in some species by wood aficionados.
The knots and burls add intrigue to the medium-toned wood and the billowy river flow imitates the texture and dimension of the wood.
Locally handcrafted steel legs in a burnished bronze meld nicely with the tones of the wood.
To finish this table, we used Osmo Polyx-Oil, known for its durability and eco-friendliness.
