WoodLab handcrafts high-quality, durable and sustainable solid wood furniture, art and home goods from locally sourced, urban rescued, kiln-dried wood, eco-friendly epoxy resin and non-toxic hard wax oil finishes. We put a high value on craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. Since we craft one-of-a-kind pieces and work with natural materials, proper performance and care expectations should be understood by our valued customers.

A.TERMS OF SALE

1a.Estimates

Upon approval of an estimate or quote by a Client, WoodLab will invoice the Client for payment.

2a.Payment

Since considerable investment in materials will be initiated immediately upon build commencement, 100% of the total invoice, minus any shipping costs, is required to be paid upfront for custom pieces.

Payment may be made to: WoodLab LLC, 1786 E. State St., Eagle, ID 83616 either by check or online credit or bank wire payment via WoodLab’s accounting software.

Sales tax of 6% is charged within Idaho for material costs.

3a.Refunds

Refunds are not guaranteed, but under unusual circumstances, may be considered. For instance, if, for some reason, WoodLab is unable to initiate or complete the project, or client wishes to terminate the project, a partial or full refund may be provided, depending on the status of the project, the reason and the investment of the project to date. If the project is underway and WoodLab has modified wood slabs or poured the piece, and client wishes to terminate the project, a refund will likely be prohibited.

4a.Timeframes

WoodLab will provide an estimate of the build time within the quote or invoice communication and will do it’s very best to finish the piece within the timeframe. Extensions may be requested and mutually agreed upon due to changes in the scope of the project, lapse in client communication due to travel or schedules, temporary equipment failure or other unforeseen events.

B.LIMITED WARRANTY

WoodLab warrantees its merchandise to be free of defects in construction materials and workmanship from the date of delivery for two years when used in a residential setting and one year when used in a commercial setting, under proper care.

This limited warranty applies to the original purchaser of the product and is not transferable.

1b.Exclusions

Our Limited Warranty does not cover damage due to normal wear and tear, accidents, misuse, natural disasters, improper care or storage, fading or discoloration due to exposure to elements including but not limited to sunlight, water damage and natural wood grain characteristics. Note that natural, solid wood is subject to normal movement based on environmental changes in humidity and temperature. The product may perform differently in various climates, as with any real wood product. Over time, some movement in the wood is normal and is not considered a defect.

Care instructions will be provided along with your custom crafted merchandise and must be followed regularly in order to make a repair claim.

Commercial use and typical care tend to be very strenuous on natural products and finishes. Thus, when improper cleaning and care techniques are used, WoodLab is not responsible for warranty repair, but may be contracted separately to refinish or restore pieces.

No cash refund is available. WoodLab will not be liable for more than the purchase price of the furniture or for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to your state. Proof of purchase is required to exchange merchandise or receive warranty service. If any item is repaired or replaced under this Limited Warranty, it will be covered only for the remainder of the original warranty period.

2b.Variations in Natural Materials

Each piece we create is unique and as such, the grain pattern and coloration of the wood will vary from item to item.

Pieces crafted from and-finished, natural materials showcase beautiful, organic variations, irregular distresses, sporadic oxidations, color fluctuations, etc. These are normal characteristics that will not affect the performance of your piece and are not considered quality defects.

Wood: We utilize urban rescued kiln-dried wood with a moisture content of 8-10%, considered optimal moisture content for beauty and usability.

The epoxy resin: We fill voids and create artistic rivers and creations using EcoPoxy™ FlowCast - the most eco-friendly deep-pour epoxy resin on the market. It creates a seamless, cellularly integrated attachment to the wood, ensuring integrity and food safety for dining and serving board surfaces.

The finishes: Whenever possible, our product's finishes dry to a low-VOC and/or non-toxic or food-safe state, ensuring that you and your family are safe from undesirable volatile organic compounds.

3b.Repair

In the event a defect that is covered by the warranty is found, WoodLab will, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective area or part to the best of our ability within the limited warranty period. Due to differences in wood and resin cures, exact matches are not guaranteed.

Damage incurred during freight transportation is not covered under this Limited Warranty and must be reported to and documented for the freight carrier and to WoodLab for proof of damage. Repair under these circumstances might involve the carrier, WoodLab and/or local contractors and be covered by freight insurance. Freight claims require photo documentation at time of delivery and/or unpacking and immediate reporting.

This Limited Warranty is given as an exclusive warranty and exclusive remedy, and no other warranties, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose or purposes are made, and any such warranties are expressly disclaimed. There are no warranties which extend beyond the description contained in this warranty.
Purchasing items either in-shop, at an event or pop-up, or online implies acceptance of this warranty by the Purchaser.
