American Elm Dining Table with Caviar/Grey Epoxy

This table is built and in our showroom. It can ship same day or be picked up same day.
This American elm slab was left un-cut and made into a table top using a style called "encasement." Instead of altering the slab by trimming it or cutting it in half, the whole, original slab is placed in a mold, we add various edge pieces of the same tree along the sides, then encase the top with epoxy. This way, we can achieve a table top that is rectangular and even in proportions using a large slab that is large at one end and smaller at the other end.
This is a very artistic way to represent a large, live-edge slab but make a more functional and proportionate table top.
The table has been lovingly sanded to 320 grit and then finished in Osmo's very durable satin Polyx hard wax oil. There is a top ceramic coat for extra protection. The metallic pigments used in the epoxy are various dark to light grey metallic pigments and a touch of pearl in color transition areas.
The legs are brass and the style is called herringbone.
Dimensions: 87" Long x 44.5" Deep x 1.75" Thick and 30" tall.
TREE TO TABLE SUSTAINABLE:
From "tree to table," everything we do and produce is based on a sustainable, eco-friendly and community ethos. Each piece has a story - from the wood growing up strong in local properties, to our friend + family team and the careful sourcing of non-toxic materials and finishes. We craft with respect for history, modern sustainable practices and heirloom quality so that you can enjoy your one-of-a-kind piece for a lifetime.
ECO-FRIENDLY EPOXY RESIN & NON-TOXIC FINISHES:
We exclusively use EcoPoxy Flowcast for our river tables. EcoPoxy has a high bio-content and is the most eco-friendly and non-toxic deep pour epoxy resin on the market.
There is no off-gassing of our products. They are allergy-friendly and are generally safe for people with multiple chemical sensitivities.
